Attorneys for a woman identified as Jane Doe have filed a federal lawsuit against several Houston-area hotel operators, including Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, alleging the businesses enabled and profited from a sex-trafficking scheme allegedly organized by a former Klein Cain High School teacher and her adult son.

The whistleblower, Desma Darden, revealed herself as a former teacher at Klein Cain High School. “I did not take this action simply because I’m an educator,” she said. “My first response was because I’m a mother. And it’s been a sickening dark pit in my stomach to know that Klein has sat on this information.”
