The director of the Texas summer camp where 27 campers and counselors were killed by a devastating flood in 2025 said he did not see early federal and state warnings sent the day before the storm hit and that staff had no meetings about the pending danger.

A Texas judge has ordered Camp Mystic to preserve damaged cabins and other parts of the grounds hit by last year’s catastrophic flood that swept away and killed 25 girls and two counselors.

The families of some of the 25 girls and two teenage counselors who died in catastrophic flooding in Texas on July 4 are suing Camp Mystic and its owners.

A spokesman for Camp Mystic, the Texas enclave devastated by a July 4 flash flood, is raising concerns about communication failures during the disaster.
