Man charged with theft after lying to customers about raising money for his sick daughter, police say
A man is accused of collecting money for his sick daughter but then never making good on those promises. Pasadena Police and Deer Park Police departments said the man, identified as Chad Skelton, 30, preyed on people's humanity and kindness. Police said he targeted small businesses in Deer Park, La Porte and Pasadena, and they found more than 20 alleged victims to his scheme. We found victims since 2016," Deer Park Police Lt.
