During the New Year's holiday, Montgomery County law enforcement arrested 49 individuals for driving while intoxicated as part of an enforcement effort to prevent impaired driving.

Fireworks sales officially began Saturday in the Houston area as residents prepare for Christmas and New Year’s celebrations.

Investigators say a man suspected of driving drunk and speeding crashed his car. While officers were investigating the scene, another driver (also believed to be under the influence) drove past a barricade and into the crash scene.
