A new report says climate commitments by companies aren’t always as green as they seem.

The new owners, meanwhile, hope to boost the bottled-water brands, which have seen slower sales growth in recent years. The Alien Tort Statute, adopted in part to deal with piracy claims, went unused for most of American history. In 2013, the justices ruled that people or entities sued under the Alien Tort Statute must have a real connection to the United States. Two years ago, the court held that foreign businesses cannot be sued under the law. In the current case, the American arm of Switzerland-based Nestle and the agribusiness concern Cargill are asking the court to rule out suits against U.S. companies as well. Cargill and Nestle say they have taken steps to combat forced child labor.

(CNN) -- After nearly 100 years, Eskimo Pie ice cream will get a new name. "We are committed to being a part of the solution on racial equality, and recognize the term is derogatory," Elizabell Marquez, head of marketing for parent company Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, told CNN in a statement. The chocolate-covered vanilla ice cream bar joins brands such as Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben's in overhauling long-used names and marketing strategies considered racially offensive. Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream has been reviewing the business for some time, Marquez said. Nestle sold Dreyer’s and the rest of its US ice cream brands to Froneri, a joint venture with a private equity firm, in a $4 billion deal in 2019.

(CNN) -- Pantry-loading has extended into freezer-stuffing in the pandemic, and that means frozen food items like Stouffer's Lasagna, Hot Pockets and Marie Callender's pies are flying off shelves. "It's a robust category that is getting the biggest trial event in its history," John Carmichael, president of Nestl Food Division, told CNN Business. People have been buying so much frozen food that they needed more places to stash the items. "Then I realized that I could in fact buy frozen food and expect it to last," Sandrin, 48, told CNN Business. I think frozen food was pretty stale five years ago, he said.
