A morning procession for Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Kenneth Lewis is expected to cause traffic delays as it travels from the medical examiner’s office to a funeral home.

A Fort Bend County Sheriff's deputy, Deputy Lewis, was critically injured in a hit-and-run incident while assisting a stranded motorist on I-10 near Eldridge in Houston. The vehicle that struck him fled the scene, and the Houston Police Department is investigating. Deputy Lewis, who was in his personal vehicle at the time, was taken to a hospital and is in critical but stable condition. The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office expressed their support for Deputy Lewis and his family.
