At long last, Jordan Morris is headed to the World Cup with the United States men's national team.

As the United States released its final roster ahead of Qatar on Wednesday, the decision not to bring Zack Steffen is perhaps the most surprising of all.

The U.S. World Cup roster had some surprises: Ricardo Pepi was left off along with Zack Steffen, Paul Arriola and Jordan Pefok.

Josh Sargent is back on the U.S. roster for the first time in a year, picked at forward along with Ricardo Pepi and Jesús Ferreira for the Americans’ final two World Cup warmup matches.

Carlos Vela scored in the third minute and Raúl Ruidíaz’s converted a penalty kick in the 73rd minute in the Major League Soccer All-Star team’s 2-1 victory over Mexico’s Liga MX on Wednesday night.

HOUSTON - Jordan Morris scored in the 59th minute in the Seattle Sounders' 1-0 victory over the Houston Dynamo on Saturday night. Morris moved under defender AJ Delagarza, leaving the ball for Aljaz Stuna to clear. Struna failed to get any effort on the ball and Morris was able to get to it and flick it over his own head. He turned and beat goalkeeper Tyler Deric to the ball, nudging it toward the far post. The Sounders moved into second place in the Western Conference.
