The Fort Bend Co. Sheriff’s Office said the crash caused extensive debris cleanup, shutting down both the north and southbound lanes of Hwy 99 at Westpark. The northbound lanes have since reopened.

Deputies said the motorcyclist went over the ramp on Hwy 99 and died upon impact. The ramp was shut down as a result while authorities investigate the deadly crash.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says one person was shot, and Transtar is reporting at least four cars involved in the crash on Hwy 99 toward Mason Road. Due to how active the investigation is, it's unclear if the incidents are related.
