Houston Methodist Hospital District takes new innovations to combat COVID-19
HOUSTON โ Approximately 157 Coronavirus patients are being cared for within the Houston Methodist Hospital System, according to a spokesperson. Some of those patients are benefitting from the newest medical innovations available, according to Dr. Faisal Masud, Medical Director of the Critical Care Center at Houston Methodist Hospital. โNecessity is the mother of invention,โ Dr. Masud said. โWe can give up to 60 liters of oxygen,โ Dr. Masud said. Dr. Masud also said they have shared designs and ideas with other hospitals across the country to stop the spread of the virus.
Houston Methodist Hospital System fights coronavirus pandemic head-on
HOUSTON โ The Houston Methodist Hospital System is at 72% occupancy, according to a spokesperson. More than 100 patients have been discharged from Houston Methodist and recovered from coronavirus as Thursday. Coronavirus patients have been doubling every three to four days at Houston Methodist, according to medical director Dr. Faisal Masud. He said the hospital is seeing a surge in coronavirus patients, specifically those who require intensive care. Houston Methodist is hoping to control the spread with innovative approaches.
