After five years of self-funded work, Stephan Hester has transformed two abandoned homes into a community hub featuring a bookstore, bakery and art gallery. Now, he’s opening the doors for free events designed to connect neighbors, expand access to knowledge and celebrate creativity in Fifth Ward.
