Speedskater Erin Jackson and bobsledder Frank Del Duca have been chosen as the U.S. flag bearers for the Milan Cortina Olympics opening ceremony on Friday.

The latest addition to the list of amenities available to athletes at the bobsled and skeleton world championships is a room inside a lodge just down the hill from the finish line.

With two heats to go, it looks as though either Francesco Friedrich or Johannes Lochner – both of Germany – will grab two-man bobsled gold.

With Francesco Friedrich first and Johannes Lochner second at the midpoint, Germany is in position to add to its sliding sport gold haul at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
