In โPalmer,โ Timberlake embraces stillness of a broken man
Timberlakeโs had star turns in films like โFriends with Benefitsโ and โInside Llewyn Davis,โ but โPalmerโ marks his time as a solo film headliner. AdโPalmerโ called for Timberlake to tone down his exuberance and play an intense, quiet, broken man living in a town where everyone knows his story. Director Fisher Stevens said he and Timberlake talked a lot about โstillness and trustingโ while shooting the film. Palmer was raised with a more โstereotypical ideaโ of what it means to be a man and has to expand his mindset. And thatโs kind of why I wanted to make the film,โ Stevens said.
