The agency has tackled sexual harassment claims in the past, finding that former Democratic Assembly Member Vito Lopez made unwanted sexual advances on female staffers. Mario Cuomo — the current governor's father — said a JCOPE investigation into Boylan's allegations “would just be total farce, in terms of credibility." Trump's SEC 'determined to leave public in the dark' on climate change, Sierra Club alleges in lawsuit

Climate resolutions introduced by shareholders for annual meetings of companies have risen in recent years, but the SEC's rejection of these proposals using what is called no-action letter relief have also increased under Trump administration. The lawsuit states that was the first time the SEC issued a no-action letter on the issue of greenhouse gas emission targets. What made the EOG no-action letter notable was that it marked a clear shift in the SEC staff's interpretation of greenhouse gas goals proposals. Sierra Club Senior attorney Joshua Smith said in a statement, "Trump's SEC is determined to leave the public in the dark and has ignored repeated inquiries about the status of this information." The Sierra Club alleges that the SEC, "has demonstrated a pattern and practice of failing to comply with FOIA requests by improperly using 'complex track' determinations to shield itself from complying with lawful requests, and thereby to undermine the purpose of the Act."

REUTERS/Mike SegarTicket Galaxy, TicketNetwork Inc and their owner Donald Vaccaro did not admit liability in Wednesdays settlement. The case concerned speculative tickets, or offers by ticket resellers to sell tickets that they did not yet have in their inventory. She said that from January 2012 to April 2018, New York consumers unknowingly placed more than 96,000 orders through speculative ticket programs, roughly one-third of which went through Ticket Galaxy.
