D’Anthony Simms Coleman is facing charges of first-degree felony aggravated assault of a peace officer when Pct. 4 Harris County Deputy Deteryon Fontonet saw Coleman’s vehicle after he allegedly robbed two stores using an AR-15 pistol.

The suspect, who confessed to multiple crimes, used a fully automatic AR-15 pistol and injured Deputy Fontonet, who has since been released from the hospital.
