Full field returns for Boston Marathon coming-out party

The Boston Marathon was back to a full field and back in the spring for the first time since 2019, and fans along the course threw a coming-out party for a region recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.

"One day, two days, three days โ€” I really don't care, to be honest with you," Red Sox manager Alex Cora said. The Red Sox made the announcement at 9 a.m., about five hours before the scheduled first pitch. โ€œThe decision to postpone our first game of the season was not made lightly,โ€ Red Sox President Sam Kennedy said.
