GOOD NEWS for a Houston-area family, whose flight back home from Paris, France was delayed due to the global computer outage. They were able to board their plane hours after speaking exclusively with KPRC 2 while waiting patiently at the airport.

A week after Houston dealt with major power outages, the city was forced to work around a worldwide computer outage for several hours Friday morning.

"DPS Driver License Offices (DLOs) across the state are currently closed due to a technical issue," the Texas DPS said in a statement. "Customers with appointments should have been notified."
