After needing a change in head coaches earlier this season, bringing in Head Football Coach Brooks Haack to lead the program, and rescructuring their needs and goals, the Mustangs will play in their first-ever state championship game on Saturday.

Brooks Haack and the Mustangs are 5-1, 3-0 in district.

The Katy Tiger quarterback Brooks Haack is amidsts a tremendous season and got the recruiting process out of the way before district play begins. Haack, who has started the past two and a half seasons, verbally committed to Louisiana-Lafayette this week. "I'm really excited to have made my choice," he said. "My family is behind me 100% and I couldn't feel any better right now to have the opportunity to be apart of the ULL family and bring success to the program."
