HOUSTON – Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson said on SiriusXM Radio Wednesday that he will be back from his injury in time for training camp later this year.

Making an appearance on the Mad Dog Sports Radio show with Adam Schein live in Minneapolis at the site of Super Bowl LII, Watson pretty much guaranteed his return in summer.

Schein asked Waston what went through his mind in the aftermath of the injury.

"It was just tough. I kind of really put it in my own head what was going on. So you know I just tried to manage and contain all the emotions I was feeling and being able to have a great support cast that I had around me was very helpful," Watson said.

As for a time frame for his recovery?

"Couple more months. I'm actually three months out, so I'm looking very, very good. Ahead of schedule. So I'm making sure that I don't do anything to put me in the back end and try to slow me down. Hopefully this summer," Watson said.

What about training camp in August?

"Training camp is a guarantee," Watson said. "I'm going to make sure I'm ready for training camp, for sure. OTA's -- it just depends on how everything is coming along, but for sure training camp."

Schein sounded genuinely happy about the news, as we're sure all Texans fan are too.
