Today is Day 1 of the Astros’ Wild Card series. Here’s everything you need to know

HOUSTON – The Houston Astros will face the Detroit Tigers in the AL Wild Card series this week.

The two teams will face off on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this upcoming week. The start times of each game is 1:32 p.m.

The Astros punched their ticket to the playoffs earlier this week in a 4-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners.

In the Tigers, the Astros will face a team that is headed to the playoffs for the first time in 10 years. The current manager of the Tigers, A.J. Hinch, is the former manager of the Astros and the team won a World Series in 2017 under his management.

The winner of the three-game series will face the Cleveland Guardians.
