This week’s KPRC 2 & UTMB Health Athlete of the Week is Sugar Land Logos Prep’s senior swimmer Everett Cox.
Cox won TAPPS state titles recently in the 100 and 300 Freestyles. Everett is an outstanding student who will swim collegiately at Hope College in Michigan.
“Really has gotten to know his teammates and gotten to know what their strengths and weaknesses are and he’s been able to help them in the pool, to encourage them,” said Sugar Land Logos Prep Swim Coach Mary Herbst.
“You know, these guys are getting up at like six in the morning on Tuesday, Thursday just to go to practice in like freezing weather,” Cox said. “To see all the hard work come and to like manifest itself into the results that we saw there, it was really good.”
Congratulations to Everett for becoming Athlete of the Week!
