Texans hosting Miami corner Keionte Scott for visit, next up for him: Commanders, Bears

HOUSTON – University of Miami nickel cornerback KeioHnte Scott is visiting the Texans on Monday in advance of his visits with the Washington Commanders and Chicago Bears, per a league source.

Scott, an Auburn transfer, has run the 40-yard dash in 4.37 seconds.

Scott is a speedy second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection. He returned two interceptions for touchdowns. He had 64 tackles, 13 tackles for losses, five sacks, five pass breakups and two forced fumbles.

He missed two games with a turf toe. Scott briefly transferred to the University of Houston before going back into the transfer portal and moved on to the Hurricanes.

A California native, Scott began his college career at Snow College in Utah. He was a junior college All-American and was named a Co-Defensive Player of the Year.

At Auburn, he had 54 tackles in 2022 and 44 tackles in 2023 and 18 tackles during an injury-limited season in 2024 before entering the transfer portal.
