The Texans will lean on veteran running back and former Cleveland Browns Pro Bowl selection Nick Chubb and Jawhar Jordan, who earned a promotion to the active roster after rushing for 101 yards in his NFL debut last Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

Chubb has made a sound recovery from a rib injury and the team has planned all week for him to shoulder the workload with Marks missing practice Wednesday and Thursday.

Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair (ankle, knee) and All-Pro cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. (oblique) are both regarded as game-time decisions with solid chances to play, per sources.

Al-Shaair didn’t practice Friday. Stingley returned to practice on a limited basis Friday and is questionable. He has played through an oblique injury for the majority of the season since first hurting it in the season-opener against the Los Angeles Rams.

Wide receiver Christian Kirk (illness) is expected to play. He didn’t practice Friday.
