HOUSTON – Texans nickel Jalen Pitre, one of the most active players in the community, spent his Tuesday giving back.
In advance of the Thanksgiving holiday, Pitre, his Pitre Boyz charitable foundation and Bethel’s Heavenly Hands teamed up to raise more than $117,000 to provide ‘Boxes of Love’ and turkeys to Houston area families in need. Inside the boxes: all of the ingredients for a Thanksgiving meal.

Pitre, a Stafford graduate and former Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year from Baylor who has three interceptions this season, and his foundation handed out over 350 ‘Boxes of Love’ and 400 turkeys on Tuesday.

The giving was sponsored by Group One Automotive, The Shariff Law Firm, TDECU foundation, Starbucks and Raising Canes.
Last weekend, Bethel’s Heavenly Hands used the donated funds with 3,000 Boxes of Love to be distributed throughout the Houston area.
