HOUSTON – The Texans signed tight end Dalton Keene to their practice squad and released running back Jawhar Jordan.
He visited the team last week along with safety George Odum as they worked out corner Jerry Jacobs, per league sources.

Keene is a former New England Patriots third-round draft pick from Virginia Tech. He reached an injury settlement with the Texans in the preseason after injuring his hamstring. He tore his anterior cruciate ligament last season.
Keene has three career catches for 16 yards.
He played for the Patriots when offensive coordinator Nick Caley coached their tight ends and fullbacks.
