HOUSTON – The Texans are signing offensive lineman Jarrett Kingston to the 53-man roster off the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad, per agent, Cameron Foster.
Kingston (6-foot-4, 308 pounds), 25, is a former San Francisco 49ers sixth-round draft pick from USC. He can play center or guard. He played in seven games last season for Carolina.

Kingston began his career at Washington State. He played left tackle, right tackle and right guard in college.
He has run the 40-yard dash in 5.02 seconds and bench pressed 225 pounds 36 times with a 31 1/2 inch vertical leap.
