HOUSTON – The Texans conducted a telephone interview with NFL draft prospect Landon Parker on Tuesday, according to a league source.
The Troy University wide receiver has also talked with the Chicago Bears, New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Chargers and the Buffalo Bills.

Parker, a senior from Concord, North Carolina, is a transfer from Wofford who ran the 40-yard dash in 4.41 seconds at his Pro Day. The 6-foot-2, 211-pounder bench pressed 225 pounds 19 times and had a 38 1/2 inch vertical leap with an 11-1 broad jump and a 6.64 three-cone drill for an overall Relative Athletic Score of 9.8, an extremely high analytics benchmark.
Parker caught 27 passes for 350 yards last season, improving from eight receptions for 128 yards and a touchdown two seasons ago after transferring.
At Wofford, Parker caught 60 passes for 1,183 yards and six touchdowns.
His father, Daren Parker, played for the Denver Broncos and South Carolina.
