HOUSTON – The Texans’ overhaul of their offensive line includes a new addition.
The defending AFC South champions are signing former Seattle Seahawks offensive guard Laken Tomlinson to a one-year deal with a maximum value of $5 million and a base value of $4.25 million, per a league source.

Tomlinson has $2.5 million in total guarantees, a $1 million signing bonus, a salary of $2.5 million with $1.5 million fully guaranteed, $44,118 per game active in roster bonuses, plus a $750,000 Pro Bowl, playoffs incentive, per a league source.
Tomlinson is a former Pro Bowl selection with the San Francisco 49ers known for his durability. He has started every game for the past seven seasons with 163 career games and 155 starts.
Tomlinson, 33, should add stability to an offensive line that has now parted ways with Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil in a trade to the Washington Commanders, trading guard Kenyon Green to the Philadelphia Eagles for safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson and releasing guard Shaq Mason.
Tomlinson is a former Detroit Lions first-round draft pick from Duke.
He was sent to the 49ers for a fifth-round draft pick before signing signing a three-year, $18 million extension with the 49ers.
He did a three-year, $36 million deal for the New York Jets.
The Jets before signing with Seattle on a one-year, $1.2 million deal.
He started every game last season for the Seahawks.
