HOUSTON – The Texans weren’t done bolstering the wide receiver position and special teams.
Days after trading for veteran wide receiver Christian Kirk, the Texans have reached an agreement with Miami Dolphins free agent wide receiver and return specialist Braxton Berrios.

The former All-Pro returner selection is set to sign a one-year, $2 million contract, per a league source.
Berrios receives a $300,000 signing bonus, a $1.3 million base salary, $11,765 per game active roster bonuses, and a $200,000 playtime incentive clause.
Berrios was targeted four times last season and had zero catches before tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee against the Indianapolis Colts on Oct. 20.
Berrios is represented by Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey.

Berrios, 29, has also played for the New York Jets and New England Patriots.
He caught no passes in six games during an injury-shortened season last year, but averaged 25.3 yards per kickoff return. His career average is 24.8 yards per return with one touchdown. He averaged 14.7 yards per punt return last season.
Berrios caught 27 passes for 238 yards and one touchdown two seasons ago. He caught a career-high 46 passes for 431 yards and two scores with the Jets in 2021.
The former University of Miami standout has caught 134 career passes for 1,323 yards and six touchdowns.
