A former Wisconsin standout who began his career as a walk-on before earning a scholarship, Ogunbowale stepped in as the Texans’ emergency kicker when regular kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn had a leg injury and hit a field goal in a win two seasons ago.

He rushed for 112 yards on 30 carries last season and caught 19 passes for 198 yards and one touchdown.

He recorded six tackles on special teams and has 45 special-teams tackles for his eight seasons in the NFL.

For his career, Ogunbowale has 569 rushing yards and 99 catches for 774 yards and two scores.

He originally signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin in 2017. After a stint on their practice squad, he was with Washington, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars.
