KPRC 2 Athlete of the Week: Audrey Cook, Stratford Volleyball

This week’s KPRC 2 and UTMB Health Athlete of the Week is Stratford Jr. volleyball star Audrey Cook, who has helped lead the Spartans to a 33-2 record.

Cook is committed to play collegiate volleyball at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, and according to her coach, Jenny Adcock, pushes her teammates with her competitiveness.

“Super competitive kid, super dynamic,” said Adcock. “Great on defense, great offensively and she just likes to score.”

“I think that (competitiveness) comes from inside and just wanting to win so bad,” said Cook. “Knowing that I have a support system and community around me helps as well.”

Cook and the Spartans are ranked as one of the top volleyball teams in Texas and should make a deep playoff run this season.
