Jordan Hicks, who pitched at Klein Oak High School and Cypress Creek High School, agrees to a four-year, $44 million contract with the San Francisco Giants, multiple sources told KPRC 2 Friday.
Hicks, 27, one of the most sought-after relief pitchers on the free agent market, has found his long-term home.

The Houston-area native signed out of high school with the St. Louis Cardinals, where he pitched from 2018 to mid-2023, before a deadline trade sent him to Toronto.
Hicks had a career platform year, pitching to a 3.29 ERA in 65 relief appearances, striking out 81 in 65.2 innings. Hicks is known for his high velocity, placing 2nd in MLB in average velocity with both his fastball (100.3 MPH) and sinker (100.1 MPH).
A number of teams, including the Houston Astros showed interest in Hicks over the offseason.
Hicks has a career 3.85 ERA in 212 major league appearances, making 8 starts.
The Giants are expected to stretch Hicks out into a starting pitcher, a source with knowledge of the situation tells KPRC 2. He was drafted in the 3rd round in 2015 out of Cypress Creek High School.
