This week’s KPRC 2 and UTMB Health Athlete of the Week is junior Katy pitcher Lucas Moore.
Moore recently threw a perfect game in a 10-0 run-rule win over Fort Bend Austin.
This is Moore’s first season on varsity for Tom McPherson’s Tigers, and he has solidified himself as one of Katy’s most trusted starters.
With some high level players who have Division I offers, Moore says he’s just trying to keep up with his talented teammates. Coach McPherson notes that Moore has a 4.3 GPA and adds a level of “goofy and silly” to the dugout.
