HOUSTON – Fans are flocking to Minute Maid Park to root on the Astros at a watch party for Game 3 of the American League Division Series.
Entry is free.
The gates to Minute Maid Park opened at 10:30 a.m. before the 12:30 p.m. start time. Houston can secure a spot in the American League Championship Series with a win over the Cleveland Indians, as the Astros currently lead the series, 2-0.
There was a Postseason Street Fest on Crawford Street where fans can grab a bite to eat at a food truck, listen to some live music and have a cold drink.
“I think today the Indians may come back a little bit and give us a little bit of a challenge, but I think we’re going to make it through, and with Dallas, I think we’re going to go all the way and sweep them today,” said fan Monica Leon.
“The guys have a lot of heart behind the game, and they play well together as a team, and they support each other and encourage each other, and I think that’s a big key behind it all, so I think they’re just great. We love our Astros,” said fan Tara Edwards.
The "Juice Box" will host a similar watch party Tuesday afternoon if the series goes to a Game 4.
