'Carlos Correa broke my heart,' girl laments in adorable video

HOUSTON – While most people expressed well wishes for Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa after his post-World Series win proposal, one girl was crushed.

Correa tweeted a video Sunday of the adorably saddened super-fan, who was none too pleased when she got the news.

“Carlos Correa broke my heart,” Scarlett Sanchez, 4, said in the video.

“It’s going to be OK,” said Debbie Sanchez as her daughter buried her face.

Scarlett's family said she fell in love with baseball, and Correa, when she attended her first game in August.

"She would say, 'Look mommy, it's him, it's Carlos,' and she would start jumping and screaming," Debbie said.

Correa said in his tweet that his fiancee, Daniella Rodriguez, will only share her future hubby with the unidentified girl.

“My heart is melting,” Correa said.

The Astros standout also said that he wants to meet the “cute little girl” seen in the video.

After a few days to process her feelings, Scarlett isn't feeling so sad anymore.

"Congratulations on your wedding, she's beautiful," the pre-kindergartner said.

She said Correa is her hero and is excited to meet him.

One fan said Correa has to “get this girl a ring also.”

A few other fans said they understand the girl’s grief.

One fan even suggested the girl be in Correa's wedding.
