Friday, Carlos Correa arrived shortly after 5 p.m. at the Astros spring training home in West Palm Beach.

Correa will ease into workouts after having four wisdom teeth pulled on Thursday.

He’s still sore, but he’s ready to get to work.

“They’ve brought in players for the team that will make us a better team,” said Correa Friday afternoon. “I feel like the front office did a great job this offseason bringing in veterans that will lead the way. It will be a fun year. We have great, talented players and that combination will take you a long way.”

Correa was also asked what he worked on during the offseason.

“I tried to work on endurance and get faster and stronger,” said Correa. “My offense, I want to be a better hitter than I am, and feel I can get better. I worked on mechanics and things that worked in 2015 and 2016 and now will work on things that made me struggle."
