Hall of Fame game canceled due to poor field conditions
Teams to hold 'fan fest' of sorts, ESPN reports
CANTON, Ohio – The Sunday night Hall of Fame game between the Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers was canceled due to poor field conditions at Tom Benson Stadium, ESPN reports.
Both NFL teams were reportedly concerned about player safety as crews worked to spray solvent on the area around the midfield logo after issues regarding the paint used in the end zones.
Hall of Fame President David Baker said the teams will stay at the stadium to host a "fan fest" of sorts.
