Panthers' Fozzy Whittaker wears Pearland Oilers sweatshirt in photo with NFC championship trophy

It has been an exciting season for the Carolina Panthers. The team celebrated big after winning the NFC Championship, beating the Arizona Cardinals 49-15 Sunday. Now, the Panthers are headed to the Super Bowl.

Running back and former Pearland Oilers player Fozzy Whittaker showed off the shiny George Halas trophy on Instagram wearing a Pearland Oilers sweatshirt with the caption: "Today was a good day! NFC Champs!"

The Pearlandsports.com Facebook page shared his photo with the caption: "Carolina Panthers RB and Pearland Oilers alum Fozzy Whittaker will play in Super Bowl 50. How exciting is that?! He posted this picture on Twitter holding the George Halas Trophy and sporting the Oilers gear. Good luck Fozzy!"

Whittaker is a Houston native and a 2007 Pearland High School graduate. He also played for the University of Texas for five years. This is his second year with the Panthers.
