HOUSTON – The 2016 Houston Astros Caravan presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors kicked off Monday with player appearances by Jon Singleton and Marwin Gonzalez.
Astros Caravan is an effort for the team to connect with fans throughout Houston and central and south Texas.The tour consists of several stops within four days in the Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Corpus Christi areas.

The Astros Foundation will host Diamond Dreams Gala on Friday featuring legendary singer and songwriter James Taylor at Minute Maid Park. The event will benefit the Astros Foundation and New Hope Housing, an organization combatting homelessness by providing housing and support services for those in need.
