Katy topples Cedar Hill, 35-24

ARLINGTON, Texas – Some might say the Katy Tigers were not truly tested this year, but were challenged in the state championship against Cedar Hill in Arlington Saturday.

The Tigers are no stranger to the stage, but it was their first time back in three years.

The Tigers found themselves in a shootout up only four points in the 3rd quarter. But that's when Adam Taylor would take over while running over anybody in his way. He put Katy up 21-10.

In the 2nd quarter, the Tigers were down 3-zip when Adam Taylor soared in from a yard out. Katy had the 7-3 lead.

The Tigers actually trailed 24-21 in the 4th quarter when Taylor come to the rescue. The future Cornhusker went for 275 on the day five touchdowns. He led Katy to win their 7th title in school history, 35-24.
