Not much rain in this part of Clear Lake City today, but some nice color in the west at sunset.

Thermometer was showing about 109 F on our shaded patio at 4 pm today.
One of our local squirrels can't seem to believe the heat either. The thermometer there is reading 96 F, and that was at about 12:45 pm today (Clear Lake City).
Discovered the first bluebonnet blossom of the season in Exploration Green park today (Clear Lake City).
Stopped on a footbridge in Exploration Green (Clear Lake City) to watch the sunset. Although the clouds were heavy, as the sun dropped to the horizon it illuminated the cloud deck from below for a few minutes, offering some nice color to the end of the day.
Although morning glories (aka Tievine) can be a real nuisance, the flowers are popular with bees. Here a bumble bee visits a bloom on a recent cool morning. Exploration Green in Clear Lake City.
