Stopped on a footbridge in Exploration Green (Clear Lake City) to watch the sunset. Although the clouds were heavy, as the sun dropped to the horizon it illuminated the cloud deck from below for a few minutes, offering some nice color to the end of the day.
Although morning glories (aka Tievine) can be a real nuisance, the flowers are popular with bees. Here a bumble bee visits a bloom on a recent cool morning. Exploration Green in Clear Lake City.

Noticed this very new moon (one day old) in the western sky this evening.

While admiring this afternoon the bluebonnets alll over Exploration Green park in Clear Lake City, I noticed a pair of butterflies visiting many of the blossoms. They are a variety of Fritillary, which are fairly common in Texas.
