West Sam Houston Tollway North at West Road reopens after accident No description found
HOUSTON – All main lanes and the feeder road of West Sam Houston Tollway North near West Road were temporarily shut down Thursday due to downed power lines caused by an accident.
Precinct 4 deputies say a woman was driving along the northbound feeder road of the West Sam Houston Tollway when she lost control and struck a light pole.
The pole fell on top of the woman's car, trapping her inside.
Power lines fell across both the eastbound and westbound lanes of the tollway.
Emergency responders with the Cy Fair Volunteer Fire Department freed the woman from the vehicle.
Her condition is not known.
Power was restored in the area at around 1:30 p.m.
