HOUSTON – The Solid Waste Management Department has scheduled crews to pick up storm debris in west Houston for Saturday and Sunday.
The collection will be done in several neighborhoods:

Gessner, Memorial, Briar Park corridors
Residents are asked to have all debris pushed to curbside by 7 a.m. Saturday. Debris should be separated into six piles and away from fire hydrants, mailboxes, power lines and other objects that will hinder safe pickup.
How the six piles of debris should be separated:
Normal house-hold trash bagged
Vegetative debris, such as trees, leaves, logs, plants and branches
Construction and demolition debris, such as building material, carpet, drywall, furniture, lumber, mattresses, and plumbing
Appliances: air conditioners, dishwashers, freezers, refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers and water heaters
Electronics: computers, radios, stereos, televisions and other devices with a cord
