Police: Man kills cheating wife

Suspect turns himself in

HOUSTON - A man who says he caught his wife cheating, shot and killed her in a Walgreens parking lot, police said.

Investigators said the suspect confessed to the killing, which happened Sunday morning at the 12,000 block of South Gessner Drive at Beltway 8 in south west Houston.

HPD Homicide said the man caught his wife having an affair and followed her to the Walgreens parking lot where they said he killed her. He put her body in the back of his van and drove around. After some time to think, he decided he didn't know what to do, officials said. He returned to the store, left the van and took off in her car, investigators said.

Once the store opened, customers and employees saw the van in the parking lot, but didn't notice the body left inside. The alleged murder happened before the store opened so there were no witnesses, police said.

Police said his next stop was at the Pearland Police Department where he made a full confession.

Investigators are searching for the murder weapon. So far, no names have been released.
