Teacher arrested after sexting student explicit video

OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City high school teacher was arrested after an explicit video of her surfaced.

Police started investigating on Monday when the principal at Douglass High School reported inappropriate messages between a teacher and a student.

Sex crimes detectives with Oklahoma City said one of the text messages on a student’s phone contained a video, in which 51-year-old Victoria Dacalio was naked and masturbating.

On Tuesday morning, Dacalio was arrested on two counts of indecent exposure.

“The indecent exposure charge comes from her sending text messages to an 18-year-old student that involved her exposing herself explicitly and illegally,” said MSgt. Gary Knight with the Oklahoma City Police Department.

According to police reports, Dacalio frequently interacted with students outside of class.

One report states "she has a history of allowing Douglass students to live in her house and drive her vehicle."

District officials said Dacalio has been placed on administrative leave with pay as the investigation continues.

“On April 11, 2016, Douglass Mid-High administrators were notified about a teacher who possibly had inappropriate contact with a student and shared a sexually explicit video. Administrators at the school immediately notified Oklahoma City police, and the district started an internal investigation.

April 12, 2016, the teacher was placed on administrative leave with pay pending the ongoing investigation. Oklahoma City Police have arrested the teacher. The teacher has been employed with the Oklahoma City Public School District since 2008,” a statement by the Oklahoma City Public School District read.

For the last eight years, Decalio has been a teacher at Douglass High School, where she teaches geometry.

In 2012, she even won the title of Teacher of the Year.

Bill Fashion has two children who attend Douglass.

He was shocked to hear about the arrest.

“She shouldn't be doing anything like that. She should honor her profession,” he said.

Police said they are still investigating the allegations.
