HOUSTON - An 18-wheeler and an Aldine ISD school bus were involved in an accident Friday afternoon in north Houston.

The wreck happened shortly after 3 p.m. Friday at Aldine Westfield Road and Farrell Road near Bush Intercontinental Airport. The big rig was making a wide turn into a business when the bus hit the rear of the truck.

We're told 19 Nimitz High School and 9th grade center students were on the bus at the time of the accident. Nine students were transported to the hospital. The injuries were all minor, deputies said.

Both drivers were not injured.

Aldine ISD said the bus driver was not at fault.
