HOUSTON - A motorcyclist is dead after a crash in northwest Houston that happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police said a Camaro struck the inside retainer wall on Highway 290 south which caused him to get a flat tire.
The driver then pulled over into the right lane of traffic because there was no emergency lane due to construction and said he put on his emergency flashers.
A man on a black Harley Davidson motorcycle then slammed into the back of the car.
The 31-year-old rider died at the scene.
Officers say a passenger inside the car was rushed to the hospital for a seizure unrelated to the crash.
The driver was not hurt.
The investigation continues.
