Montgomery High School evacuated

MONTGOMERY, Texas - Montgomery High School was evacuated Friday.

Officials said the school, located at 22825 Old Highway 105 W, was evacuated shortly after 10:30 a.m. when a fire was reported in a boy's restroom. Officials said some type of cleaning chemical was involved and hazmat was sent to the scene.

No injuries were reported.

An investigation is under way to determine the cause.

Officials said students were scheduled to be released early at 11:30 a.m. anyway because of an academic decathlon.
