HARRIS COUNTY - Two men were killed in a single-vehicle crash in east Harris County early Friday morning.

Deputies said the men were in a Nissan Pathfinder headed eastbound on East Cedar Bayou Lynchburg Road around 1:15 a.m. when the SUV hit some railroad tracks and skidded sideways into a ditch on the right shoulder of the road.

The SUV flipped up the side of the ditch and into a driveway, according to deputies.

The two men inside died at the scene. Friends tell us the two victims were ages 21 and 23.

Deputies said they were in their late teens to early 20s.

Deputies said speed was a factor, but they will have to wait until toxicology tests are performed to determine if the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
