FULSHEAR, Texas – Fulshear City Council voted unanimously Tuesday night to terminate Police Chief Kenneth Seymour following a monthslong investigation into an alleged inappropriate relationship between Seymour and another officer, sources confirmed to KPRC 2.
Seymour had led the Fulshear Police Department since 2011. He was placed on unpaid administrative leave while an internal investigation examined the allegations.
An independent investigator presented findings to City Council before members considered Seymour’s employment status.
During public comment, two people shared accounts related to the matter, according to our community news partner Grizzy’s Hood News. The comments included allegations of inappropriate conduct.
Council members later went into executive session to discuss Seymour’s employment. After returning to open session, they took action to terminate him.
The investigation and council proceedings remain developing. KPRC 2 has requested additional information from the city.
